- Open a web browser and go to www.office.com
- On the login screen, click "Forgot my password"
- It will then ask you to complete a captcha, type the characters displayed and click next. If they are unreadable, click the refresh icon and try again. You can also use the speaker icon to listen to the letters if they are still unreadable.
- Select "I forgot my password", and click next.
- You will have to complete two authentication methods to reset your password. Below are examples of using your alternate email as well as a text message.
- Select one of the options and click next

- Select Email my alternate mail and click Email.
- You will receive an email similar to this on your personal email address. Enter the code shown in the email.
- Select Email my alternate mail and click Email.

- For security, you will need to enter your entire phone number with country code as you originally entered it to send the text.

- Once you have completed two authentication methods, you will be able to enter a new password. Type the same password in both boxes and click Finish.
- Click the link to sign in with your new password.
- Every 90 days, you will be prompted to confirm that your reset methods are still up to date.
- You will receive this window upon logging in. Click next.
- It will then pop up this window, showing your current reset methods. If you need to update, you can click Edit Info.
